Older Sun Machines for Free!
Posted by: OldWoman ()

I have several older sun machines available to anyone who will give them a good home. I have the following:

4 Sparc 5s
1 Sparc 10
6 Sparc 20s (dual CPUs)
5 Ultra 1s
1 Ultra 1 Enterprise

The memory configurations differ from machine to machine. First come first serve.

I also have several external storage cases which hold SCSI hard disks.

I also have a couple Ultra 10s, but I would like to ask a little bit of cash for those ($25).

Please send me a PM if you are interested.

I've only given away an ultra 1 and the ultra 1 enterprise systems. Remember these are free to anyone who wants them.

I think I'd be interested in adopting some of these; preferably the Sparc 20, as that is the only machine from the above list with which I have any familiarity. PM me and we'll figure out a time and place!

Thanks!

I have a sparc server 10 and an ultra 1 around if you want these.
I'm not sure what I have for ram, but its yours.
I may also have a small sized hard drive for these (with the hard drive mounting rails).
Plus I have a few scsi cards with external connector, and one or two videa cards.

Truth be told, I'd like to unburden one of you of a machine that would be suitable as a media, file and development server in my home. I am not all that familiar with all of these models, but I'd like something whose footprint is suitable for home use if possible, and whose size and power requirements are not ridiculous.

Anyone who's got an appropriate machine and would be willing to part with it can PM me and we'll set up a rendezvous point.

I'll likely be loading it up with OpenBSD or even openSolaris if I get feelin' kinda frisky.

The sparcserver 10 I have is not an ultra 10. Just a plain old sparcserver 10. It does have 2 cpus, not sure of the speed.
